Product Maintenance

The Products Setup and Enquiry window offers access to this window from multiple Main Menus for fast user access. Creation of a product is available to all users however setting a Price and Cost by Location is mandatory before products are made available for selection via the Pre-Entry, Entry or Exit windows and requires Administrator privileges because this determines the profit centres 'List' price for any product.

5. Pre-Entry Forecasting
  • Users need only browse the Navigation grid with the Product Maintenance Forecasting tab as open in order to see expected orders for 'Today' and any future dates on any product whether the product is either of a Cart or Rock Type.
  • Users can drilldown with double click to view, edit and optionally update the Pre-Entry transaction.
  • Users can right click for the standard Pop out features with drag and drop delivering grid flexibility.
  • Views are customized (meaning fields hidden by default) as per the Product Type selected e.g. Supply and Deliver transactions consists of both a Cart Type product and a Rock Type product but on selection of either product type total report as per the individual product type selected.
  • Supply Only transactions do not form part of any Cart Type product forecasting totals.
  • Rock and Cart Type unit prices (per tonne) are reported as per Location/Destination pricing as the default which are then superceded by price book pricing where the Pre-Entry record has both an Order and it optionally has a price book (or Special Price book) assigned.
  • With Pre-Entry transaction edit (i.e. Product and/or Order, Destination including the transaction type being Supply Only or Supply and Deliver) the results are automatically and instantly updated to the Forecasting tab.
  • When users migrate from the Pre-Entry grid to Onsite grid the Pre-Entry transaction is removed from the Forecasting tab.
